Ford added three brand-new colors to the 2026 F-150 lineup, retired three from 2025, and shuffled which trims you can get the carryovers on. Here’s the complete 2026 F-150 color guide — with paint codes, trim availability, and what’s new.

What are the 2026 Ford F-150 exterior colors?

The 2026 Ford F-150 is available in nine standard exterior colors plus two color options reserved for higher trims (Star White Tri-Coat on Lariat and above, Shelter Green exclusively on Raptor). Three of those colors are brand new for 2026: Avalanche, Argon Blue Metallic, and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Three were discontinued from the 2025 lineup.

Below is every 2026 F-150 color with its official Ford paint code. Hover over any swatch to see the detail. Note that several colors are extra-charge (Ford classifies them as “premium paint”) and a few are restricted to specific trims or higher equipment groups.

What’s new for 2026: three brand-new F-150 colors

  • Avalanche (DR) — a soft, near-white silver tone that brightens up the lineup, especially on STX, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, and Platinum.
  • Argon Blue Metallic (E9) — a clean, lighter blue-tinted metallic that joins the existing Antimatter Blue. Available on XL, STX, XLT, F-150 Lobo Package, Lariat, and Raptor.
  • Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (RR) — the new deep-red replacement, available on STX (201A), F-150 Lobo, XLT, XLT Black Appearance Packages, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor (with Graphics Delete on Raptor R).

Discontinued from 2025: Atlas Blue Metallic, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Space White Metallic are gone for 2026. If one of those is what you wanted, your only option is a 2025-model-year F-150 from current inventory.

Which 2026 F-150 colors are available on each trim?

Most colors are available across XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, Tremor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor. The biggest restrictions are Star White Tri-Coat (Lariat and above only) and Shelter Green (Raptor only). Marsh Gray and Antimatter Blue have some trim-specific limitations.

King Ranch also gets a two-tone treatment with Marsh Gray as the lower accent color, paired with one of the trim’s approved monotone uppers. Platinum and Lariat Black Appearance Package add their own restricted color palettes — if you’re shopping a higher trim and want a specific color, the easiest path is to call us and confirm.

What does “premium paint” mean on the 2026 F-150?

Premium paint is Ford’s term for any color that carries an extra charge above the standard no-cost color options. On the 2026 F-150, that includes Antimatter Blue Metallic, Argon Blue Metallic (new), Avalanche (new), Marsh Gray, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (new), Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, and Shelter Green.

The standard, no-extra-charge colors are Agate Black, Carbonized Gray, Iconic Silver, and Oxford White. Those four are available on essentially every trim and are the most common F-150 colors you’ll see on the lot. If you’re configuring a build and trying to keep the order simple, sticking to the standard four is the path of least resistance — but the premium colors are where the lineup gets interesting.

Which 2026 F-150 colors hold value the best?

For F-150s specifically, the traditional resale-friendly colors are Oxford White, Agate Black, Iconic Silver, and Carbonized Gray — the neutrals. They appeal to the widest buyer pool when it comes time to trade in. Premium paints like Star White Tri-Coat and the new Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat can hold value well too because they’re scarcer, but mainstream colors typically have the broadest resale appeal.

That said, color preference comes down to what you want to drive every day. As one of the Top 5 Ford remarketing dealers in the country, we see thousands of off-lease F-150s come through — and there’s no single “winning” color. What matters more for resale is condition, mileage, and configuration. Don’t overthink the color choice for resale; pick what you love.

2026 F-150 color questions, answered

How many exterior colors does the 2026 Ford F-150 come in?

Eleven total exterior color options across the 2026 F-150 lineup: nine widely-available colors (Agate Black, Antimatter Blue Metallic, Argon Blue Metallic, Avalanche, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Iconic Silver Metallic, Marsh Gray, Oxford White, and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat), plus Star White Metallic Tri-Coat on Lariat and above, and Shelter Green exclusively on Raptor.

What 2026 F-150 colors are brand new for this model year?

Three: Avalanche (paint code DR), Argon Blue Metallic (E9), and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (RR). All three are classified as premium paint and carry an extra charge over the standard color options.

What 2025 F-150 colors are discontinued for 2026?

Three colors went away from the 2025 lineup: Atlas Blue Metallic, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Space White Metallic. If you wanted any of those specifically, your only option is a 2025-model-year F-150 from existing inventory.

Which 2026 F-150 colors don’t have an extra charge?

Agate Black Metallic (UM), Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7), Iconic Silver Metallic (JS), and Oxford White (YZ) are the standard no-extra-charge colors. Those four are available on essentially every trim from XL through Raptor, with a few isolated exceptions on King Ranch and Platinum.

Is Star White Tri-Coat available on the F-150 XLT?

No. Star White Metallic Tri-Coat (paint code AZ) is restricted to Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims for 2026. It is not available on XL, STX, XLT, Tremor, or Raptor. If you want a tri-coat white on a lower trim, the closest substitute is Oxford White or the new Avalanche.

What color is Shelter Green, and can I get it on a non-Raptor F-150?

Shelter Green (paint code DB) is a muted forest-green color exclusive to the F-150 Raptor for 2026. It is not available on any other trim. It is also classified as premium paint and, on the Raptor R, requires the Graphics Delete option to be ordered with it.
